outfit//open//cobra starship//hola! join the day was absolutely gorgeous. especially with it being sunday. oh yes the day was just brilliant. moon high in the sky and everyone just hanging around. well actually that would make it night, but it was the day for roni and everyone else at the academy. the academy was not a normal one. it held half breeds and vampires, dhampirs and moroi. here the half breeds would train to one day become guardians and then protect a moroi they get assigned to. roni was in her last year, and well she wasn't making any good impressions to the teachers. yeah she killed some of the evil ones, but she also ran away and then came back as trouble. it was the main reason she was now in the imfirmary.
the brunette had a temper and well it got the best of her outside the chapel today. some other dhampir questioned her strength and called her a blood whore, women dhampir who do nothing but give blood, and usually through sex, it was the lowest of all things and well roni didn't liked being called that. this was probably caused by the girl disapearing and then reapearing. she only went to visit her orphanage, it wasn't like she was leaving for good. but she had beaten the kid on her first day back, and well you know boys and their egos. and apparently words were supposed to make her small, it just wounded her up.
roni managed to land three punches and a kick to the chest before the boy slammed her into a tree. totally unfair in her opinion, using objects, but she had no say after she landed another kick and was pulled off of him. "he's going to get know where with name calling, he needs to learn to put up a fight." she screamed at the guardians for their lack of success in the boy. they just placed her in a bad and waited for the moroi who looked after. it was ten minutes before she showed up and examined roni's ribs, she never noticed the pain until she mentioned the fracture. the brunette sighed and hit the wll behind her, this was bound to hold her back tomorrow in classes. the nurse wrapped up her lower torso and then let her go.
so there you go, roni's button which got pushed. she laughed when she saw the kid fighting the guardians walking up the hallway, she guessed she had to be out of the room before he could come in. she smirked and tossed her hair back and walked down the hallway. she was on her way to the church. it wasn't her normal scene, but she did have a respect for the place, and she guessed that was where the peace was... well inside of the church, because outside the church, well we'll won't go back to that.
roni pushed open the door and took a seat in the back. she use to go with the moroi who took care of her. she never complained, but it became a habit for her. roni would just sit there and stare off into space of stare at the colorful stained glass. roni leaned back against the benches and let her head hang back and closed her eyes, at least she could calm down in here, she would never pick a fight in the place. the brunette sighed and held her ribs, they didn't hurt that much, but then again it wasn't the next day. as soon as people began to clear out, roni got out and slipped upstairs, that was better, no one hardly came up here.

Most Dhampirs like going to church. Especially the Dhampirs that have made kills in the past. Some say that it is soothing; others say they are trying to repent, and the rest just say that it helps them remember what they had done. Unlike the majority of Guardians and Dhampirs Acton hated church. Even before his little vacation Acton didn’t like Church because he has always seen it as somewhat cultish and just too restricting. However after the accident Acton has grown to a whole new dislike for church because he just didn’t believe that there was a god because if there was then why would it let things get so shitty on earth?
However just because Acton didn’t like to go to the services it didn’t mean that he hated the building itself, to be more specific the upstairs room wasn’t so bad. It really was a good place to hang out or hide from bunches of Guardians that were chasing you down because of a little incident in the lunch line. By now Acton has been using the room in the Church as a hiding place because nobody ever thought that someone would be as sacrilegious enough to hide in a Church or they just figured Acton was such a evil little prick that he didn’t even know where the church was.
Anyway right now Acton was actually running away from a group of Guardians for real. There was a little scuffle earlier that day involving Acton and a large group of Freshman Dhampirs that thought they were awesome and could take on the widely feared Acton Benson. It really was stupid for them to think that they could mouth of to Acton because they thought the stories weren’t true because most of these stories were true, or half true. However the idiot group of 5 or 6 freshman thought that they could take on Acton because a group could surely over power a 6’8” wall of muscle, yeah that was logical…not.
By the time a few Guardians got to the middle of the crowd that had formed around the fighting group there wasn’t a fight anymore. Instead there was Acton standing there as if he had just done the most boring thing in the world instead of beat up 6 kids so bad that they could barely roll around on the ground. Now of course the Guardians didn’t even consider that the little freshmen had it coming to them and just assumed that Acton had just decided to beat the crap out of a group of idiots for now reason. Seriously they should know better by now. It was as if the school was teaching people to automatically blame Acton.
So before the Guardians could start playing the blame game Acton booked it. He ran as fast as his freakishly long legs would carry him, but he still heard the heavy footfalls of Guardians running after him. It didn’t take long for Acton to dodge out of the way of the angry Guardians but he thought it would be better to take cover for a few hours before he went back to his dorm to have Guardians waiting there to give him another detention or suspension or increase in forced therapy sessions. The best place to go would be the one place nobody thought he would be and that would be the upstairs room of the church.
Still in full out sprint Acton ran into the church where, thankfully, nobody was and ran up to the room that very few people knew of. Honestly Acton didn’t think that anybody else would be up in the room above the church so he didn’t bother to look around once he burst into the room and locked the door behind him, better be safe than sorry. When he turned away from the door it took him a while to notice that someone else was in the room. Shit! Acton mumbled and ran a hand through his messy black hair. What the hell are you doing here?! Acton asked kind of pissed that there was someone else in his hiding spot.

outfit//acton//cobra starship//hola! join roni had taken a seat near a box and began looking through it. she didn't know how many people actually knew of this place. but she had found it trying to look for a way out, just to get away, or just to calm down. she really had a terrible temper and everyone was beginning to realize that it was going to be tough to fix. but it wasn't a bother, well it wasn't a bother for roni, she liked it, it helped her fight and keep focus. that was what she learned when she came here. they said a strength that would help it to be able to focus all her anger at one thing and that usually involved her challenger. roni ran a hand through her brown hair before pulling it back into a bun. that was another difference between roni and the other girls.
long brown locks were attached to her head and well she liked them that way. there was no way in hell or heaven that would be able to get roni to cut it like the guardians. if she had to she would tie it up, but she kept it down most of the time, it also hid her tattoos, she kind of didn't like them, she wished there was another way to highlight the killings she made, but it didn't help now, she already had them on. the girl found a book and softly pulled it out of the box. it was an old book with gold writing on a red binding. she was ready to focus her anger into the words of a book, maybe she'd learn something too.
she was a page or two into the book when the door of the attic was shoved opened. she looked up in curiousity and dropped the pendant she was playing with while she read. the door was forcefully shut before she heard a click indicating that it had be locked. she was clearly amused and raised an eyebrow waiting for the boy to acknowledge her. that was when his reaction came. Shit!she almost laughed. "interesting choice of words for church." she looked back down at the book and turned the page, she heard his question, but she wasn't in a rush to answer. she actually thought about how a lollypop would do some good right now. What the hell are you doing here?!
her brown eyes looked up and met his, she smiled. "calm down tiger, and take a seat." she said before she looked back down and turned the page once more showing a picture oh two people in battle, but they were using swords."cool huh?" she turned the book so she could show the picture to him. roni liked her stake and knife, and fire was fun to play with too. she looked back up at him. "well i'm sure once the prick is done getting taken care of the guardins will be on the prowl for me." she grinned, she had gotten the guy a couple of days in the doctors. "so until the coast is clear, i'm up here.." she paused and looked down, "reading." she moved the book a bit and looked back down at the picture. it would be pretty cool to take a class on sword fighting.
she could just imagine it, an army of guardians all strapped with swords, that would have been an interesting sight, she wondered if they used armor too, because these guys only had on some old time clothes. roni turned the page and scanned it before she turned her attention back on the boy. he was in her year probably, but she didn't really know him, actually roni didn't really know anyone except the people who she got into fights with, and well they weren't really friends. roni bit her lip and glanced around. "so what are you doing in here? i thought i was the only one with this secret place." she added. before looking back at the book, roni had somehow calmed down, for now.

The solitude of the upstairs room in the church was what Acton loved. Barely anybody knew about the place and if someone else knew of it the likelihood that Acton and those other people would go up to that room at the same time was extremely low. Out of the people that actually went to church Acton would guess that the majority wouldn’t dare to explore the building. Then there were the people that didn’t go and why the hell would they want to walk into the church to poke around? Acton on the other hand happened across this room on accident when he got back from his “vacation.”
So the fact that someone else was in Acton’s secret little room was really rare and it just irked Acton that he had to share it. Couldn’t anything at this school just be his? It seemed that his own past, though undisclosed to his classmate, had spread a little amongst the Guardians. All Acton wanted was something for himself, something that couldn’t be claimed by others. It was stupid of him to think that he could get this room all to himself, he should have expected it because that’s what Acton did, expect the worst. If you expected the worst you couldn’t be disappointed, it was the same thing about caring. All of Acton’s actions were based around protection, just like any dhampir, but he was set on protecting himself.
Anyway this girl being in his hiding spot was annoying. The whole point of hiding was to not be found or discovered by someone else, but Acton just walked into a room with someone that could probably just walk out and start yelling to the Guardians HE’S OVER HERE! It wouldn’t be the first time that someone thought they could be a smart ass and rat Acton out just for the fun of it, of course they regretted it later, but the whole ratting him out part was a serious bummer. To make things worse she seemed like a chatty little thing just by her first remark about him swearing in church. Acton didn’t understand what the big deal was, a church is just a building, it would be the same thing as him swearing in a classroom or the cafeteria.
The girl seemed… friendly, something that thoroughly freaked Acton out. Of course you couldn’t tell that he was unnerved by this because Acton was a pro at hiding his emotions and keeping a completely guarded mask. Nobody ever knew what he was feeling or what was going threw his head, something that added to the fear of him, the fact that he was unpredictable. This girl though, didn’t seem to realize this, even when she looked into his harsh, cold blue eyes she still invited him over to sit down next to her. Instead of sitting down next to the girl Acton chose a spot on the complete opposite side of the room and tucked his extremely long legs to his chest and rested his chin on his knees, a classic upright fetal position.
Even though Acton was sharing the room with the girl he made a point to not pay attention to her. She tried showing him a picture in a book that Acton barely glanced at before smirking and looking away again. The friendly girl kind of surprised Acton when she said that she too was being searched for by the Guardians, but yet again the emotion didn’t show as usual. Maybe it was a bad idea to have two people that were being searched for by Guardians in the same room. Maybe this girl was known to go to the church and could be easily found here, however Acton was positive even if they found her that he would be able to get away somehow.
Secrets are a rare thing, so I doubt a physical place could be one of them, Acton said in an offhanded tone. Though his tone was lax and bored what he said was the truth. Things and places couldn’t be kept a secret; they were bound to be found eventually. However experiences and memories could be kept a secret and that was what Acton did best; keeping his feelings and his past a secret that only few people of authority knew of. So no your little hiding spot isn’t just your secret hiding spot, Acton said simply, thinking he probably needed to clarify his previous statement.

outfit//acton//cobra starship//man can acton bring on the tension haha the church and roni was a natural habit. she just came to sit and stare which is why one day she got up and walked around after the service. honestly she thought only the moroi father knew about, hence all the books and items stuffed up here. she looked at the kid and question came to her mind, what was he doing in the church? he didn't seem like the type that would enjoy church or anything involving religion. but she decided not voice it, she wasn't sure where her limits were with this guy. and quite frankly it seemed like if she tested them, the outcome would probably be guardians running up stairs to find two dhampirs fighting, even if it was small up here.
roni played with the edge of the book she held as she read the captions and thought about how it was before all of this trouble started. she even wondered how the whole vampire thing began. it was quite an interesting subject in roni's books, and that was her main reason for high marks in history, she always was so interested in it since she wasn't born or grew up in the enviroment. it made her think to herself. awhile back she came to the conclusion that her mother and father were guardians, or at least one was, and both couldn't take care of her. and she found out that she didn't really mind, they weren't worth her time if they left her in some orphanage.
roni decided to keep her mouth closed since all his reaction was, was to go sit on the other side of the room. very isolated came to her mind. she looked back down at her book and turned the page once more. that was when she found something that could help her with her latest essay. she bit her lip and looked aorund before she dug into the box next to her. she found a caryon she guessed was from the elementry classes and a printed out article about, well she couldn't tell the ink was smudged. she shrugged and used the back side and began to write, might as well get this done now.
actually if you knew roni, she was not friendly at all, she just knew when to try to make an alli and who to not make angry. roni shook her wrist to make the dragger bracelet fall back and went back to writing, she needed to learn to put wrist stuff on her left. she rolled her eyes at herself and flipped the page, the important stuff ended, so she put the crayon down and went back to looking at the pictures."Secrets are a rare thing, so I doubt a physical place could be one of them" finally the kid decided to talk. "So no your little hiding spot isn’t just your secret hiding spot," she brought her eyes back on his. yeah she noticed how cold they were, but it didn't really affect her, future guardians should never show fear or weakness, actually this point in time, she didn't know if she wanted to be a guardian anymore, she didn't even know if she had a chance because of her trip.
she smiled a bit, "actually a room can be a secret." she nodded, "by definition and if used as an adjective, it can be a secret.' okay so maybe she was also good in literature. she also decided to add, "and also used as a noun as in something that can be kept hidden or concealed, like this room since only you, the father, and i know about it." she looked back down at her book done with her little lesson on the word "secret." she glanced up, "sorry for being a smart-ass." she shrugged, she didn't want to be on bad terms with this person yet, roni had to try and keep less people as enemies. she flipped the page and went to playing with her necklace again.

Usually when Acton went to the church to hide he was alone. Solitude was the one thing that seemed to be unachievable at the Academy except for places like this room. There were so few places at the Academy where you could be truly alone and Acton had done a pretty good job of finding those places. There was this room, a cabin in the forest, and a few secluded spots on the grounds. Otherwise the whole Academy just seemed to be occupied by people even if they avoided Acton so he didn’t have to interact with them, the sheer amount of people was enough to annoy him.
It was those places of solitude where Acton could relax a little, even though it wasn’t much. All the time Acton walked around with a huge wall protecting him, no amount of muscle could protect what Acton really wanted to protect. Sure he was completely capable of physically protecting himself, but he was more concerned with protecting what had already been mangled. To Acton he didn’t want to risk making connections or having friends, hell it was hard enough for him to keep his cute little dog with him, but actually making friends and getting attached was something that seemed nearly impossible.
At the girls response Acton just shook his head causing his black mess of hair to fall into his deadly blue eyes. The girl was taking this too literally. Sure a room could technically be a secret but it could never stay a secret. People would also stumble upon this room, like Acton had just discovered. People can find physical things like places or items, but they couldn’t find figurative things like thoughts and emotions. To Acton it was key to keep as much as he could secret because if someone knew those secrets that would give them a reason to attach to him, something Acton avoided like the plague.
Then she apologized and that just made Acton smirk even more. Apologies in Acton’s point of view were completely unnecessary. Usually when people apologize they don’t mean it and when they do mean it people don’t believe it. Besides what’s the point of apologizing for something you did? You already did it and there was no reversal and obviously since you did it you meant it at the time, so apologies are people regretting what they said or did. So needless to say Acton never apologized for anything because he always did what he meant and he always said what was on his mind, well as long as it didn’t pertain to himself.
Being a smart ass isn’t something to apologize for Acton said with his chin still resting on his knees. And don’t think so technically. This place could never be a secret because the little priest man knows about it, obviously I know about it, and probably a couple more people know about it. It was kind of weird for Acton to be talking this much because usually before a conversation could get too far someone would piss him off and things would just end badly. It’s not like Acton is a crazed maniac that only hits and destroys people, he could have a decent conversation as long as the person wasn’t annoying, but Acton seemed to think everyone was annoying.
I bet one of the Guardians know about it too Acton said offhanded knowing that they wouldn’t look for him up here, but he had no idea if they would look for this girl up here, if they knew that she hung out here often. They won’t come looking for you here will they? Acton asked glaring at the girl, hoping that she wouldn’t ruin his hiding spot, because even if they Guardians knew about this place they would never ever think that Acton Benson of all people would even set foot inside of a church.

outfit//acton//cobra starship//rawr roni wasn't afraid of talking to people or getting to know someone, it was just people were scared of her. she didn't get it. yeah she had that temper problem, but it was only out of control when she was threatened physically or emotionally, actually mostly emotionally, she just took somethinghs too far, she wished she didn't, but it was one of those defensive things. she didn't like people making her seem less than she was. she worked so hard to get so far, that if it came from an adult she didn't care, but if it came from someone her own age, man that was trouble. they didn't know how hard she worked and how hard it was to get to her point, she felt she was going insane sometimes.
she didn't mean to be so literal, but there was always a black and a white for her, hardly anything in between. she looked at the pictures in front of her. but that should be a good thing, for it to be one thing or another instead of anything of mix, but in reality it wasn't black or white. roni mentally sighed. it was all too confusing what were you supposed to do in those situations once a dhampir becomes a guardian. the job was beginning to look less and less appealing. roni flipped the page, maybe she could just go and hide amoung the humans, change her name, relocate, kill one of those demons when she sees them. that didn't sound so bad.
the boy smirked at her apology, she was kind of confused at that, was it that he was obnoxious and thought he was better than her? or was it something else.Being a smart ass isn’t something to apologize for roni just looked back down until her spoke. telling her not to apologize. And don’t think so technically. This place could never be a secret because the little priest man knows about it, obviously I know about it, and probably a couple more people know about it.that was unusual response, everyone always wanted a sorry, and once she gave it to them they seemed happier, this kid just kicked it out the door. "alright then no more apologies." she muttered at the book instead of to him. when this kid was different from the others obviously. she wasn't sure how to talk to this boy and found it more and more easy to just not to talk at all, man this guy was hard to deal with.
she looked back up to him, "and until that information came into play, it was a secret logically.' she ignored the stop thinking technically. she couldn't, it was how she was brought up, it was one way or the other, never in between. I bet one of the Guardians know about it too she shrugged and continued to flip through the pages. she landed on something interesting again and began to right while he talked a bit more. They won’t come looking for you here will they? she shrugged once more. "no one knows i hang around here after the service, they either think they saw me in the gym, or on some random part of the school. i even got some people to say they saw me go one way when i didn't.' it was amazing what you could get when you help someone, normally she didn't take on favors, but sometimes they were needed.
she continued to write and looked at the picture, this time it was a moroi throwing fire at someone else. now that was what she had her thesis on, morois fighting with their guardians, it should be a two part thing not just a moroi becoming dependant on someone who may not be there later. she slid the paper to the side and flipped the page, roni was beginning to get bored of this book so she closed it and laid it at her feet. she went back to digging into the boxes. "will anyone go looking for you in here?" she then looked at the door, "you did lock it." she had noticed that in the beginning, maybe he was suspecting them to check up here. she didn't look back at him.
she found a book on healing, a book on st valdimir, and a book on, who knew what it didn't seem to have anything interesting. roni sighed and pushed the box away to bring over another one. she went on her knees and began to dig until she found two thin books. she riased an eyebrow and shrugged before she got comfortable again, she glanced up to meet his eyes before looking back down and opening the first book. she looked at the picture and looked at it for a bit before she turned to the next page.

The last time that Acton had used the room above the church was because of a similar situation. It wasn’t that long ago when Acton had actually been involved with a fight with some Guardians. It started off as him and a Moroi, but then some Guardian’s stepped in figuring that the guy needed some protection. The fight was intense and Acton ended up injuring one Guardian and knocking out the other. Before a horde of Guardians could come and give him another detention or suspension Acton ran as fast as he could until he found himself running up the stairs to the room in the church. By the time that Acton had emerged from the room the Guardians had given up on their search, however even though Acton got punished the next day, he still got some great alone time up in the room.
This time though, things were a bit different. The circumstances were pretty much the same, hiding for a group of Guardians that want to punish him again, but it was different. Instead of hiding out in the room for hours on end alone Acton was forced to either stay in the room with this girl until the Guardians gave up or run outside and risk being brought to Kirova’s office yet again for some more punishment. Honestly by now Acton was used to being thrown in detention or suspended or forced to do some creative chore, but there was one thing that he dreaded about punishment that made him want to hide and it was therapy.
If there was one thing Acton hated most about being stuck at St. Vlad’s it was the fact that they made him go to the therapist almost everyday and when he did something serious they would extend him sessions and make him go more frequently. There were plenty of times when Acton tried to skip but then they would send a group of Guardians and forcibly take him there even though he didn’t utter a word. That was the thing about the therapy; even though Acton had been going since he got back it didn’t mean that he uttered a single word to the therapist, not one. There was never a happy greeting or trying to distract her. All Acton did was sit in the uncomfortable little chair while the therapist stared at him expecting for him to say something.
Actually Acton never really talked all too much, only if he was yelling at someone or being a smart ass to authority. The only time that Acton actually talks to people in a semi-not-really civilized manner is when they address him first and even when he does talk to people its not like he is all to pleasant to be around. People in general annoy Acton so it only makes sense that he wouldn’t want to talk to them. However in situations like this when he was stuck in a room with a girl that just kept bringing up conversation Acton kept talking because there was something about him that always wanted the last word no matter what.
Thankfully nobody knew that this girl hung around up in this room or else Acton would be pissed if some Guardians came barging in and god only knows who would end up with a face full of fist when that happened. There was no way that Acton would let someone take charge of him, not even if it was for punishment so there was no way that he would be taken away easily. Would someone be looking for me up here? Acton repeated the question then started to laugh sarcastically. There was no way that someone would go looking for Acton Benson in a church there was just no way that someone would think that Acton of all people would be in a church. Nobody would ever think of looking for me up here. The Guardians are too stupid to even think of looking for me up here, hell they probably think that I don’t even know what Church is because apparently I’m a No good idiot that shouldn’t even be allowed here anymore. Shaking his head with a smirk on his face Acton watched as the girl went digging threw a pile of books. So what the hell are you doing anyway?
